Andreas Horst Heads Up Corporate Communications at Webpay International AG

Webpay International AG, operator of the online payment system ClickandBuy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andreas Horst to the newly created position of ”Head of Corporate Communications”, reporting directly to CEO Norbert Stangl, with immediate effect. In addition to managing corporate communications at Webpay International AG in Switzerland and in Germany, Andreas is in charge of the PR work for 13 European countries, the USA, Mexico, and Asia.

CEO Norbert Stangl also sees the signing up of the PR manager with TecDAX* experience as a clear indication of a continued strong and sustainable growth trend at Webpay International AG: ”We are pleased to welcome Andreas Horst on board as a proven communications expert with long-standing experience of the Internet and a strong international background who will help us to strengthen our market leadership in Germany and Europe and support our expansion worldwide.”

Andreas joined WEB.DE GmbH, operator of Germany’s second largest Internet portal (listed on the TecDAX as WEB.DE AG until 2005), as spokesman in 2001, where he was in charge of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs. He previously worked as an OSCE Officer in Bosnia-Herzegovina where, as a qualified political scientist, he was responsible for communications and business consultancy. In addition, he has many years’ experience both as a domestic and foreign media observer and as a duty editor, working for the Press and Information Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. As a communications consultant, Andreas planned and implemented strategies, concepts, and campaigns at home and abroad for parties, political foundations, and trade associations, and for the EU in Eastern Europe as well as for international brand manufacturers in the consumer sector. Andreas Horst, aged 44, is married and has a 12-year-old son.
