New York, 07/22/2005:

ClickandBuy to Create eCommerce Payment Platform for Podcasters

For Immediate Release

New York, NY – July 25, 2005 – ClickandBuy, an ePayment platform for digital content, today announced its plans to develop a software module that will support eCommerce for podcasting. Through this module, ClickandBuy, owned by the European-based company Webpay International, will enable podcasters to charge for their podcasts from any country worldwide.

ClickandBuy will simplify the way in which podcasters can charge for digital content straight from their own podcasts. Part of its platform enables people or organizations to charge micropayments of $0.50 or $2.00. The other ClickandBuy advantage is that it has the ability to easily convert currencies, avoiding high conversion fees for consumers.

ClickandBuy’s quick, simple and easy-to-use eCommerce platform helps both consumers and podcasters alike. With the platform, podcasters can charge listeners from a 50-cent micropayment for one podcast to weekly, monthly or annual subscriptions. ClickandBuy enables people to download digital content with one click. Consumers can also choose between different payment methods, such as charging phone bills, credit cards, debit cards as well as other online methods.

ClickandBuy, an ePayment service that gives consumers easier access to online digital and paid content such as games and music, is from Webpay International, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland and New York. The ClickandBuy software allows merchants to sell low-priced items online without being charged the high fees associated with credit card companies and gives consumers the choice to pay for online content through phone billing, credit cards, debit cards or other means of their choosing.

”As the definition of online and digital content changes, ClickandBuy will stay in the forefront to aid the new forms of digital media as they achieve more popularity. With podcasting, ClickandBuy will help podcasters easily deliver their broadcasts to their audience members,” said Chandresh Shah, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Apple iTunes is a major client of Webpay and uses ClickandBuy to distribute its service through 15 European countries. Among other merchants that use ClickandBuy are ABC’s Alias, Kiplinger Washington Editors and iVillage in the United States, and The Independent, Wimbledon and Disney’s Toontown online in the United Kingdom.
