Billing Concepts, Inc. and WebPay International AG join forces

Billing Concepts, Inc and Webpay International, AG will create a joint venture offering the new, global payment and billing service, ClickandBuy®, for online digital content to the U.S. The announcement was made this morning at the 2005 Billing & OSS World Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

ClickandBuy® from Webpay International, AG, is one of Europe's leaders in value added billing technologies and services. Billing Concepts is the largest telecommunications and data settlement and clearinghouse in North America. The joint venture will create the world's most complete online payment service network.

The joint venture will deliver a new payment system for U.S. based Internet service providers (ISPs), telecommunication companies, online digital content merchants, and their mutual subscribers. Together, Billing Concepts and Webpay International bring a strong financial portfolio and extensive proprietary product assets to the venture.

Billing Concepts, with proven, independent and secure financial clearing capabilities and highly trusted relations with local exchange carriers (LECS,) will contribute their Enabill(TM) multi-channel payment system to an already impressive set of capabilities found in Webpay International's ClickandBuy® payments solution. Additionally, the robust and proven clearing and settlement functions from Billing Concepts will be utilized globally by Webpay International.

Webpay International will provide its demonstrated, fast, secure and simple ClickandBuy® software solutions for global Internet payments as well as access to its ClickandBuy® Alliance Network which allows merchants to easily offer their content online and subscribers to easily pay.

At this morning's announcement, ClickandBuy® President, U.S. Operations, Mr. Fabian Siegel stated, "We are very excited to offer subscribers, merchants and ISPs in the United States this simple and comprehensive payment system." To date, the new association has signed more than 30 online merchants, including abc.com and kiplinger.com, in the U.S. They join the ClickandBuy® worldwide Alliance Network already comprised of Swisscom ClickandBuy®, British Telecom ClickandBuy®, TelMex ClickandBuy®, FIRSTGATE ClickandBuy®, over 3,500 global merchants and more than 5 million customers. The ClickandBuy® Alliance Network allows member enterprises to use the ClickandBuy® solution to connect and pool their customer bases with web merchant relationships. The joint venture's value proposition was emphasized by Mr. Siegel.
