When you register a new payment method with ClickandBuy, initially it has the status "unconfirmed". With an unconfirmed payment method you can use ClickandBuy to make small internet purchases within a pre-set spending limit. Larger amounts cannot be charged to an unconfirmed payment method. Thus, if you want to increase your spending limits and be able to make larger online purchases, you have to confirm your payment method with ClickandBuy.
"Confirming your payment method" means that the accuracy of your payment details is verified through a confirmation process. Possible errors in your account data are quickly recognized during this process.
As soon as any of your payment methods has been confirmed, the status of your ClickandBuy account is automatically set to "verified". The advantages of confirmed payment methods and verified accounts are:
- higher spending limits
- less overall restrictions
- a guarantee for you and ClickandBuy that services you have used can actually be paid for.

The credit card confirmation process can only be started from the user service area. To complete the process successfully do the following steps.
- Log into your ClickandBuy account with your email address registered with ClickandBuy and your password.
- Use the tab to switch to the Settings area and click on the menu item Payment methods from the left-hand navigation bar. An overview of your payment methods registered with ClickandBuy should be displayed.
- On the right side of your credit card details there is a list of possible activities you can perform for each credit card. Click on the Confirm link next to the credit card you want to have confirmed.
- In the next step a page is displayed explaining you the credit card confirmation process. To start the process, simply click on the button "Charge me confirmation amounts". Please note that when you click on the button ClickandBuy will charge your credit card with two random amounts between 1.00 GBP and 1.99 GBP.
- In the next step you will have to confirm the two charges by ClickandBuy. To do this call your credit card institution or check your credit card statements for these amounts. Note that the charge transaction may take up to 3 business days.
- As soon as you are able to see the charges on your credit card statement, log back into your ClickandBuy account with your email address registered with ClickandBuy and your password.
- Use the tab to switch to the Settings area and click on the menu item Payment methods from the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click once again on the Confirm link next to your credit card details. A page will be displayed, on which you will be prompted to enter only the decimal place values of each charge displayed on your statement.
- Enter the two amounts as shown on the picture of the instructions and click on the Next button.
Please note that the charges on your credit card statement may be in a different currency from the one required on the last confirmation page described above. If your credit card statement does not display the original transaction amounts in the required currency, you will have to contact your credit card company. They should be able to tell you the amounts of the two charges in the original currency.

In some countries ClickandBuy users can also register a bank account and use direct debit as a payment method. The following instructions are relevant only for users coming from countries which support direct debit.
Confirmation process with confirmation code
- The confirmation process for bank accounts can be started at various points:
- automatically immediately upon registration with ClickandBuy,
- automatically, directly during the payment process or
- manually by you in your ClickandBuy account (see below).
ClickandBuy immediately transfers the amount of 0.01 GBP to your bank account. - After this test payment has been made (after around 3-5 days), you receive a four-digit ClickandBuy confirmation code, which should be displayed in the payment information area of your bank account statement (see image below).
- As soon as you are able to see the four-digit confirmation code on your bank account statement, log back into your ClickandBuy account with your email address registered with ClickandBuy and your password.
- Use the tab to switch to the Settings area and click on the menu item Payment methods from the left-hand navigation bar. An overview of your payment methods registered with ClickandBuy should be displayed.
- On the right side of your bank account details there is a list of possible activities you can perform for each bank account. Click on the Confirm link next to the bank account you want to have confirmed. A page will be displayed, on which you will be prompted to enter the four-digit confirmation code.
- Enter the confirmation code from your bank account statement and click on the Next button.
- If the entered confirmation code is correct, the accuracy of your bank account details will have been confirmed with the last step.
Please note that the time you have to enter the confirmation code with ClickandBuy after you have received the test payment is unlimited. However, if the confirmation code is entered incorrectly three times, the code is rendered invalid. You will then have to go to your ClickandBuy account in the Settings area and start the whole process all over again. The current confirmation code is also rendered invalid if you request a new confirmation code, intentionally or unintentionally. You will then need to wait until the new confirmation code appears on your bank account statement, as it will be your valid code.

Manually initiating the confirmation process
To manually initiate a confirmation process, follow these steps.
- Log in to ClickandBuy with your email address and password.
- Use the tab to switch to the Settings area and click on the menu item Payment methods from the left-hand navigation bar. An overview of your payment methods registered with ClickandBuy should be displayed.
- Click on the Confirm link next to the bank account you want to confirm. The confirmation process will then be started.
- Follow the instruction from the page, which is loaded as a result.
Confirmation process without a confirmation code
You can also confirm your information with ClickandBuy in writing without entering the confirmation code. ClickandBuy requires a copy of both sides of your ID card and the confirmation form. Please send the completed form and the copy of your ID card via fax to:
