Session link
The simple session URL set up is implemented when ClickandBuy is used to charge for content and provide access to the digital content for short periods of time.
Session link integration
To create a simple ClickandBuy link, please proceed as follows:
- In your ClickandBuy merchant service area, go to >>Offer Administration>>Summary and select the appropriate domain. If you can not find any domain here you need to create a new domain (>>Offer Administration>>New Domain).
- To create a ClickandBuy link for a selected domain or administer existing ClickandBuy links, click on [-> Link list] in the Domain Administration area.
- Enter the following values in the fields under "Add new link":
| Activate | Enable the checkbox to directly activate the new link. Deactivated links can not be purchased against. |
| Link | Enter here the complete URL of the link to be replaced (e.g. http://www.merchant.com/ClickandBuy/index.html). |
| Name | Enter the name of the link (e.g. ”Fun for a dollar”). |
| Info | Enter a short description. This description will appear on the user interaction pages and on the billing documents. |
| Price | Set a price for your offer (e.g. "1 dollar"). |
| Currency | Set the currency for your offer (e.g. ”USD”). |
| Duration | Set a time for which the user shall have access to your directory or file (e.g. "1 hour"). |
- Save your entries by clicking on [-> Save]. You will access the overview page showing the created ClickandBuy link(s).
- Now you can retrieve the code to add your ClickandBuy purchase link to your website by clicking on [-> Add link], or test it by clicking on the link ID number.
Additional information:
You can set up as many ClickandBuy links as you like. You should always follow these principles:
- Always place premium content in its own directory.
- No links other than the ClickandBuy links may point to such a premium directory, since this would make correct billing impossible.
- Secure the directory that contains your premium content against unauthorized access using htaccess or IIS directory security.
- Links within the content shop should be absolute links.
